And of course not cheap literature but something authentic. I recommend you to read Nietzsche by Kaufmann and also Goethe's for some understanding on Nationalism. Read Dostoyevsky. Read psychological aspects of mankind. There is no good or bad nationalism only nationalism. I can't comment on Javed Akhtar. He has read much there is no further space in him. Try to think a bit different from the prism of journalism. Also if u have time read Republic by Plato not once but as many times as there are parts in it. Sorry for the harsh words.
